The following guidelines will be implemented effective September 1, 2024
The Society of Aikido Centers is unique in its commitment to its students. The organization aims to promote a higher understanding in all aspects of life. The study and practice of Aikido involve energy, and there is an energy exchange in everything. We bring energy to whatever we create. Commitment is a form of energy that we can claim to be part of our life, and making a commitment starts the energy in motion. SAC students are expected to demonstrate commitment in their training through support and improvement. NEW HOURS SEPT. 1, 2024 Saturday 10:30am-12noon Sunday 1030am-12noon Enrollment Requirements for SAC Training A signed registration waiver form. The monthly dues are $95 (fees will be prorated in addition to a full month, depending on the student's start date)The annual membership fee is $35The SAC student manual is $20The SAC uniform patch is $12Training tools include Jo (wooden or rattan staff), Bokken (wooden sword), Tanto (wooden or rubber knife), and Kali sticks (rattan and wooden). For Uniforms and training tools, please see Greg Pannell, Assistant instructor. SAC Student Responsibilities Pays $95 monthly dues on the first day of each month. A $10 late fee is charged if not received by the 5th day. The monthly dues remain in effect whether a student is out of town for personal or business purposes. Private Lessons A student must be a member of SAC to take private lessons for $77 per hour and is responsible for paying the studio rental fee of $30.A twenty-four-hour cancellation notice is required, or a $25 cancellation fee is applied. Children's Fees There is a discounted rate for students under twelve. When the student is twelve or over, the monthly rate of $95 applies. Mat Fee PolicyThe training mat fee is fifteen dollars per class and applies only to traveling Aikido students who wish to train and are non-members of SAC. To ensure these standards are met, we provide testing criteria for the ranks of Rokkyu through Ikkyu. The SAC test policy requires the student to be responsible for Kyu or Dan testing fees before their test. When a student reaches the level to test for the dan ranks, the student and Fabia Sensei work together to design a personalized test. Rokkyu $50 Gokyu $60 Yonkyu $70 Sankyu $80 Nikyu $90 Ikkyu $100 Fabia Sensei deliberately emphasizes her continual development. Her involvement in understanding the principles of Aikido is to refine the techniques and provide efficient, fluid, and subtle changes. Fabia Sensesi's expansion includes "The Martial Art of Life, The Art of Intentional Living" (2009), and "Spiritual Food for Thought" (2016). Fabia Sensei is a teacher, speaker, and author for Enlightenment. She uses Aikido as a metaphor to share life concepts with the intent of further understanding.
